Welcome to Myrtle Beach Craft Beer

Started in 2009, our purpose is to unite and inform all craft beer enthusiasts who choose to visit or live in the Myrtle Beach area. Find your favorite local, regional and national craft beers on-tap and in the stores and restaurants. Join with other like-minded craft beer afficionados for local festivals, beer dinners and events. So, whether you are coming for a short stay or call the beach your home, we hope you are able to find and drink delicious beer while you are here.

Just a few short years ago, the Grand Strand was host to dull bars, crummy beer stores and uninspired restaurants that all shared a common demoninator - they all served fizzy, tasteless yellow swill. Then in 2007, with the help of some great folks in Charleston, the ban on high gravity beer was lifted and handmade quality craft beer began to flow into South Carolina. Myrtle Beach was behind Charleston, Columbia and Greenville for a few years, but as visitors began bringing their thirst for good beer and residents began to clamor for more variety, we started catching up.

In 2014, the landscape is much different. There is the world-class brewery, New South Brewing, whose brewery tours were recently rated in the Top Ten brewery tours in the nation by TripAdvisor; local stores and bars that pride themselves on diverse selection; great brewpubs like Liberty and Quigley's; and awesome events like the Myrtle Beach Beer Festival, Oktoberfest and Brewing at the Beach.
